Junk Journal Sketchy Bird

Hi, I'm Vero (@Vero.kt) and welcome to today's inspiration. How's everybody ?I've been playing with some of the new Rubber Dance designs to create a page in my Junk Journal. I hope you like it.

In the previous post I told you that for this Junk Journal I used different types of paper (silk sheets, tissue paper, book and notebook sheets).Today I prepared my page on a notebook sheet with a grid pattern, to work with wet media I apply a layer of transparent gesso, if the one you have is white it would also work for you,On my work table I mix pigments with water and add them to the stamps to be able to stamp and obtain a watercolor effect.

Now it's time to stamp with inks in tones similar to the background. And to add depth. imprinted with black permanent ink

It's time to sew the edges by machine on kraft paper

I choose a Bird from the  Sketchy Birds set, color it and add it to the page.Below I leave you with several photos of the project so you can see it in detail

Junk Journal Page

Hi, I'm Vero (@Vero.kt) and welcome to today's inspiration. How's everybody ?I've been playing with some of the new Rubber Dance designs to create a page in my Junk Journal, I hope you like it.                   I have used, Mix a sentiments 3 Pencil marks 4 and Mixed media marks.

I have used different sheets, wrapping paper, notebook paper, silk and hand cut, in the photo you can appreciate them better.

Later I prepare these papers to work with wet media, so I apply a layer of clear  gesso, if the one you have is white, it would also be worth it,

I use a dryer to speed up drying, and I apply pigments with a fan brush and make them react with water.

On my work table I mix pigments with water and add them to the stamps to be able to stamp and obtain a watercolor effect.

Now it's time to stamp with inks in tones similar to the background.

And to add depth. imprinted with black permanent ink

It is time to sew the edges by machine on a recycled cardboard

I choose a flower from the  Pencil marks 4 set, color it and add it to the page.Below I leave you with several photos of the project so you can see it in detail

Art Journal Sketchy Birds

Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration. How's everybody ? I've been playing with Mixed media marks, Round in circlesSketchy Flowers 3, and Sketchy Birds  to create a page in my Art Journal. I hope you like.

On an A4 watercolor card I played with spray inks and some rubber dance stamps to create the background.

When the inks are dry, cut the pages to A6 size.

Then started stamping different stamps with oxide inks in tones similar to the background to add texture to the page.

I chose the moth from the set Sketchy Birds , it is colored with watercolor pencils,One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition, I have to admit that it is usually the part that takes me the most.
Now I leave you some photos with details of the project.I hope you like it as much as I do when making them.
